BillingPlatform racks up $18 mln from Columbia Capital

Englewood, Colorado-based BillingPlatform, a provider of cloud-based quote-to-cash solutions, has raised a total of $18 million from Columbia Capital. The company has secured an initial $4 million commitment from Columbia with the firm planning to invest an additional $14 million in BillingPlatform. Also, BillingPlatform has named Dennis Wall as CEO. Wall joined BillingPlatform in January 2017 as its chief revenue officer.

‘Airbnb for workspaces’ gets $2m for regional expansion

Manila-based FlySpaces has secured US$2.1 million in a pre-series A funding round, the startup announced today. The round was led by angel investor Raymond Rufino – co-president of commercial property manager Net Group – with “a millennial-led private equity firm” and other local property developers also participating. FlySpaces claims that this is the largest ever pre-series A investment made by Philippines-based parties.

Queensland startup JESI closes $1 million seed round led by the state government

A Queensland mobile workforce software startup has closed a $1 million seed round led by a state government co-investment, the first funding dished out to a regional company.

Townsville-based JESI, which offers B2B software to track workers movements between sites, secured $500,000 in funding from the Queensland government’s Business Development Fund along with a co-investment of the same amount from Future Now Ventures.
